This is in my Disney Bucket List! Check it out to discover my adventures as Cultural Representative!
Visiting Disneyworld is not visiting Disneyworld if you don’t watch the fireworks that are shot every night at Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios – it’s the most magic moment, and that’s saying something since Disneyworld is all about magic. My aim is to watch them all before going back home!
Fireworks at Magic Kingdom – Wishes Nighttime Spectacular
Wishes is the fireworks show at Magic Kingdom – it’s shot every day at 21:00. It always attracts plenty of people – the view is nice from everywhere near the main square, but if you want to watch it right in front of Cinderella’s Castle be sure to go there in advance!
Wishes is all about Disney movies: fireworks are shot over the castle in perfect accordance with cartoons soundtracks on the background. I’m aware I’m using this word way too much, but it’s magical: you can’t help being amazed, you can’t help being moved by all those lights and the voice talking about, indeed, wishes.
Fireworks at Hollywood Studios – Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular
The fireworks show at Hollywood Studios, shot every night at 21:30, is the umpteenth dedication to Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular mixes fire, fireworks, lights and movies clips to transport people in a galaxy far, far away… Obviously succeeding: be in the middle of a laser battle, be tempted by the Dark Side, and save the galaxy!
Fireworks at Epcot – IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth
At Epcot, fireworks, fire and lights tell the story of the world and human achievements. Music plays a very important role in it, and it’s pretty difficult to describe it in words – you just have to trust me when I say it’s beautiful. My favourite firework show so far, it’s very special: shot from the centre of World Showcase, it can be seen from everywhere around the lake – spending the break of my longest shift watching it from the gelato kiosk in Italy Pavilion is somehow spiritual.
